It was game on as rugby legend and Topaz ambassador Alan Quinlan, FIFA Puskas Award contender Stephanie Roche, actor Laurence Kinlan and TV presenter Anna Daly battled it out in a pair of Seat Leons to determine who the most efficient driver is.
The campaign encourages motorists to adopt more efficient driving techniques and to reassure motorists that the fuel imported and supplied by Topaz, which is AA quality approved, is the highest quality in the market, taking motorists up to 24km further on a tank of fuel compared to competitor standard fuel.
It was boys versus girls at Mondello Park, as Alan Quinlan and Laurence Kinlan challenged Anna Daly and Stephanie Roche to win the coveted ‘Most Fuel Efficient Driver’ title. Both teams competed on a number of gruelling driving tests including parallel parking, reversing around corners and three-point-turns.
Speaking at the campaign launch, Paul Candon, Group Marketing & Corporate Services Director at Topaz commented “In launching the Topaz Fuel Efficiency campaign we aim to remind motorists of the differences in fuel quality available in the Irish market and the importance of purchasing fuel from a reputable and trusted source such as Topaz.
Poor fuel quality and driving techniques can have a significant impact on the price motorists pay to run their car so we hope this campaign will encourage motorists to consider their fuel supplier, adopt more efficient driving techniques and save them some money in the process.”
Video footage of the driving challenge and winners will be revealed early next week. In the meantime visit www.topaz.ie to see a list of efficient driving tips.
