Topaz was the big winner at Ireland’s Forecourt and Convenience Retailer Awards, claiming seven of the 15 titles on offer.
Topaz underlined its position as the country’s leading fuels and convenience retailer with a total of 31 of the 57 nominations.
Kilkelly Topaz Service Station, Kilkelly, Co. Mayo won the coveted Forecourt/Convenience Store of the Year (1,100 sq feet) while Topaz Kill in Co Kildare won the inaugural Green Store of the year award.
The awards, now in their eighth year, were presented at a gala reception held in the Clyde Court Hotel in Ballsbridge Dublin recently, hosted by TV 3 presenter Sinead Desmond.
Paul Candon, Marketing and Corporate Services Director at Topaz, said the company was delighted so many of its dealer sites had performed so well, especially given the high standards of the hundreds of entrants.

The IFCR Awards are designed to reward professionalism and entrepreneurial spirit, acknowledge innovation and commitment and at the same time help to raise industry standards.
On a bumper night for Topaz Reidy’s Topaz Service Station Foynes, Co. Limerick won the award for Best Food to Go. while Towey’s Topaz Service Station Ballaghderreen, Co. Roscommon won the Best Customer Service Award.
O’Hare’s Topaz/Eurospar in Mayobridge, Co Down won the Best Deli award, O’Sullivan’s Topaz/Centra, Inishannon Co, Donegal won the Newcomer of the Year award while Casey’s Topaz/Centra in Castelbar Co Mayo won the Best site with a licence to sell alcohol award.
