Topaz Energy receives double awards for oil company and forecourt initiatives in Ireland

Topaz Energy has been awarded for excellence at the prestigious Irelands Forecourt & Convenience Retailer Awards 2007, sponsored overall by Cuisine de France.

Recognised for both Best Oil Company Initiative, sponsored by Olive Safety and Best Training Initiative, sponsored by Tipperary Crystal for Frankfield Service Station it is clear that Topaz has consistently high standards throughout its forecourt operations.

The key oil company initiatives that Topaz received credit for include the Fareplay  Excellence Through People Initiative which was led by Kendra Ryan and the Health and Safety Initiative led by Killian Talon   The judges commented that achieving high standards of customer service through continuous staff training is key to success in the forecourt and convenience sector. Topaz’s commitment to staff development has seen them achieve the FAS "Excellence Through People" standard for all of their Fareplay Service Stations’.

In awarding Topaz for Best Training Initiative at Frankfield Service Station, judges commented 'This forecourt has demonstrated what can be achieved through a structured, considered and consistent approach to customer service training. The investment in their training programme was clearly demonstrated in the way in which the auditors were treated in the store and has had a positive impact on staff motivation and sales'.

With over 500 individual award entries received from throughout Ireland, being credited for these awards highlights a major achievement for local retailers and Oil companies throughout Ireland. Bill Penton, Managing Publisher, Irelands Forecourt & Convenience Retailer, was delighted with the event, saying ‘The awards, now in their third year are growing from strength to strength.
